The Salus is a double-sided mattress with cotton and wool pre-compressed and tufted to individually pocketed coils. The king is manufactured with a 1078 coil count using 95 percent recycled steel, 28 pounds of USA-grown cotton, and 12 pounds of Pacific Northwest wool; the Salus is a very popular economical model.  This mattress is in the medium firm range.

The Salus can be ordered with natural or organically grown cotton.  Natural cotton is economical, grown by American farmers, and contains no added chemicals like boric.  The 100 percent certified organically grown cotton is grown without pesticides/herbicides and does not contain boric or mineral oil.  Organically grown cotton in the USA results in a dramatic reduction in worldwide pesticide use.  Organic farming does not employ synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, ensuring that organically grown cotton is a clean, pure, natural product.

Pacific Northwest-grown wool is hypoallergenic, naturally fire retardant, dust mite repelling, supporting, and soothing.  The wool content eliminates the need to use any chemicals for fire safety.
